Editor: Re Bill Sweetman's article in the May 2000 edition (p 71) although the article addresses crisis communication, I must point disclosed several errors pertaining to victim issues. The Aviation Disaster Family Assistance Act was passed at Congress in 1996, not 1995 as reported through Mr. Sweetman. In addition, the article leave outs to point out that the law requires the National Transportation Safety Board to assume responsibility for assisting victims of major transportation disasters.
